Yoga is a an ancient practice stemming from India and the Himalayas, and can be dated back more than 2500 years. It is a system of philosophy, practice and principles that recognises the human as a multidimentional being. The body, breath, and mind are seen as a union of this multidimentional nature. Yoga cultivates health and wellbeing through the regular practice of a range of different techniques including movement and the holding of static postures, breathing exercises and breath awareness, relaxation and concentration, and meditation.
The practice of Yoga is ultimately a practice and journey of self cultivation and discovery. The regular practice of Yoga leads to a greater integration of being, internal peace, clarity of mind, self awareness, and a higher state of consciousness.
