Lauren started dancing at the age of 5 at her Aunty’s dance school ‘Arts Theatre of Dance’ on the Gold Coast. It was here that Lauren decided she wanted to follow in her Aunties footsteps and become a dance instructor.

After moving to North East Victoria, Lauren danced with various local dance schools and competed in competitions and eisteddfods around the area. As a teenager, Lauren started assisting in choreographing local productions and school concerts and in 2009 started studying at Benalla tafe, graduating with a diploma in Dance teaching and management.

Lauren gained further teaching experience at ‘Amy Newton Dance Studios’ at Shepparton, Tocumwal and Cobram before opening her own dance school ‘Let Me Dance’ Academy.

Lauren opened LMD Academy to provide an affordable dance school, and to encourage students from all walks of life to have a go and learn to dance at their own pace in a pressure-free environment.

 

Hip hop dance classes are held on Friday afternoons for ages 3.5 and up.
